Welcome to iZoot.com
The official website and archive of Ira Zoot — digital paintings, abstract art, and digital photography.
Ira Zoot is a digital artist and photographer based in Mundelein, Illinois. For more than three decades his studio practice has moved between the camera, the tablet, and the screen — treating software as a natural extension of traditional image-making.
Every piece in this archive is digital. Works are conceived, built, edited, and finished on screen using applications such as Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Corel Painter, and a variety of 3D, generative, and compositing tools. Some begin as photographs; others start as marks, shapes, or textures. All are refined by hand until they become the finished digital paintings, abstract compositions, and photographs you see here.
The site is organized into growing collections — including the layered Impasto and Vortex abstract series, the Stroker paintings, and the Pops digital photography studies. Browse the gallery, read the stories behind individual works, and contact Ira directly for licensing, commissions, or availability.
Ira is also the founder of iDigits.com, and owns the premium domain asset site OurIdeasWork.com.

Featured Collections
Work is organised into collections that grow as new pieces are finished.

Impasto
Thickly loaded strokes, raised ridges and canvas tooth — the physical language of oil paint, built in the digital studio and pushed past what a real palette knife could hold.
4 works

So Here
A single radial gesture and the variations cut from it: bursts, diagonal cascades and darkened fans where colour survives only in the seams.
3 works

Stroker
A single loaded knife stroke treated as the whole subject — held enormous, repeated into plumage, or set alone against bare canvas.
5 works

Stroker Circo
The loaded stroke bent into a circle, then repeated, enlarged and accumulated — from a single weathered portal to vast fields of concentric painted rings.
3 works

Vortex
One rotating gesture, examined from every side: wound tight into a spiral, unrolled into vertical curtains, drawn out as a single diagonal, or broken into mosaic tiles that still remember the turn.
11 works

Pops
A black-and-white photographic record of the artist's father — hands, rooms, chairs and the light of ordinary days, made close and without arrangement.
9 works

Products
Product studies: iZoot digital artwork adapted to objects — the eyeZoot eyewear frames, Ganjart and iZoot footwear, and the Brain Matters design group. Shown as concepts and examples of how the artwork carries onto manufactured surfaces.

A practice built on new tools
Ira Zoot is the founder and fine artist behind iZoot.com. Based in Mundelein, Illinois, he has spent more than thirty-five years working where creativity and technology meet — building businesses and making pictures with whatever tools arrived next.
His practice began in commercial photography and design in Chicago, where he was among the first photographers and designers in the city to adopt Adobe Photoshop. That early access changed how he saw an image: not as a fixed capture, but as raw material that could be layered, corrected, recombined and pushed.
